The Story
Named ‘RHS Plant of the Year 2024’ at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the flowering cherry tree Prunus 'Starlight' impressed judges with its beauty, resilience and adaptability. Created in 2006 from a cross between a sweet eating cherry and Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis Rosea', this small, graceful tree is much admired for its unusual, pure white, star shaped flowers, that bloom profusely from March into April.
