The Story
A wonderful plant for a dull corner, the oak leaved Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Tara’ provides a wealth of interest, with its interesting oak shaped leaves, full of texture. This compact, bushy shrub is happy in partial shade, and in late spring/ early summer it bears clusters of flat, white, mophead type flowers, which open from green buds, eventually turning tawny brown. The benefits of this plant do not end here, as, in autumn, the foliage turns a fiery orange red, before the leaves fall.
