The Story
This paper empire lampshade bears the distinctive brush strokes of British artist and textile designer Cressida Bell. Hand painted in her studio; she uses pure pigment paints that come alive when the light is turned on, diffusing a gentle warmth and subtle ambience to the home, perfect for a table or bedside lamp. The Callisto design features Cressida’s signature ovals and cross-hatching, which are reminiscent of many of the designs she grew up with at Charleston. Tall and narrow, the blue and yellow shade has been designed to fit neatly in a confined space, such as a bedside table or bookshelf.
