An attractive, large, late flowering clematis, Romantika bears very dark purple flowers, that open looking almost black, its petals contrasting against its yellow anthers. This is one of the darkest cultivars, with a long flowering season, and, as such, it looks marvellous grown through a yellow leaved shrub or against a pale coloured wall.
